Saturday morning (26), starting at 8 a.m., the Department of Health and the Department of Works of the Municipality of Igrejinha will carry out an action called ‘Desapega’. The event will take place with the aim of eliminating the breeding grounds of the Aedes aegypti mosquito, as the municipality has suspected cases of dengue fever. The first action will guide residents on what to do to avoid mosquito breeding sites and the collection of debris and objects not used by residents of the first area mapped for action, which will be held in the neighborhood of Figueiras, near the ESF Acácias.
Each citizen can contribute to the campaign by carrying out inspections in their yard in order to eliminate possible breeding sites, characterized by any container that can accumulate water. The Ministry of Health recalls that the population cannot forget to cover the tanks and water reservoirs, to keep the gutters always clean, to leave the bottles and containers with the opening downwards, to clean every week or filling plates of potted plants with sand, keeping garbage cans well covered and cleaning drains with netting application, in addition to keeping tarps for building materials and swimming pools always taut so as not to accumulate dirt. water on the upper part.
The Igrejinha Health Department carries out the year-round “All against the Aedes aegypti mosquito” campaign, aimed at raising public awareness of the possible breeding grounds of the mosquito, which is the vector of dengue fever, zika and chikungunya, diseases that can generate others. such as microcephaly and Guillain-Barré syndrome.
