LE BAL – “Jesus and Abel are magnificent, but my challenges are mine” (Corinthians)

Vítor Pereira landed this Saturday in São Paulo, in what will be the 1st day as the new coach of Corinthians. The coach had about half a hundred supporters waiting for him and he immediately walked over to the waiting reporters.

“I know a lot of players in the team and I came here because I think they have quality. I believe in the project. Now I have to start working to understand more precisely what I have”, “I came for the passion, for the project of a great club, for the competitive championship,” he said.

Vítor Pereira was asked if he had more pressure due to good performances from Jorge Jesus at Flamengo and Abel Ferreira at Palmeiras: “My challenges are what I put on myself. The performance of my colleagues was magnificent and that’s good, it opens doors for everyone, but the requirement is something that accompanies me, the pressure I put on myself.”

The Portuguese, who will have a technical team made up of five elements, has signed a contract until the end of the year.
