WhatsApp Web is about to get much more interesting. According to WABetaInfo, the company is working to provide feedback to posts on the web version of the app. This means you’ll soon be able to react to messages with emoji just like you do in the mobile app. The update is currently in beta, so be on the lookout if you’re a fan of WhatsApp Web.
WhatsApp continues to work on adding reactions to messages
the most of apps of the most popular messages, such as instagramiMessage, Twittersoft, Facebook Messenger, etc. give the possibility to react to messages with emojis. However, one of the most popular, WhatsApp, currently lacks this feature. However, that may soon change, as we have long seen signs that they are working on implementation. Previously, we have seen what reactions to WhatsApp messages on smartphones can look like. Today we have a picture of how they can be implemented on WhatsApp web and in apps office.
Courtesy of WABetaInfo, we have a first look at reactions to messages on WhatsApp for computers. Currently, it looks like WhatsApp only plans to add six emojis to react to, unlike its sister apps Instagram and Facebook Messenger which let you react with any emoji you want. WABetaInfo shares that to react to a post, you have to hover over it with the cursor, and the react button will appear next to it. When you click this button, you will be greeted with emojis just above the message. You will then be able to select the one you want to react with.
The feature is still under development, and we don’t even see it in betas of the app, for PCs and smartphones at this point. But since WhatsApp has been working on it for a long time, it might arrive soon. It will probably be in beta first, so you can sign up for the beta program to receive it before other users. The WhatsApp development team is currently working on other new features, such as WhatsApp Communitiesa revamped voice call interface and a better way to add images
WhatsApp is clearly working on a new feature that will allow users to react to messages with emojis. This new feature has been detected in the web version and desktop applications of the application, and gives users a glimpse of how they can be implemented.
