Omicron BA.2 Variant: Two New COVID-19 Symptoms Reported

The BA.2 COVID-19 variant, a variant of the omicron variant, may exhibit different symptoms than the original strains, according to reports.

KREM 2 . News Health officials reported seeing two additional symptoms of BA.2 – dizziness and fatigue. Symptoms come with those reported by Omicron patients, such as sneezing, coughing, sore throatAnd other cold symptoms.

BA.2 – commonly referred to as Omicron “stealthy” for its ability to evade certain tests – I thought I was close 30% more transferable than the original variant But that doesn’t seem more serious. BA-2 has been blamed in an increasing number of cases internationally, but is not widespread in the United States, although it has been reported in all 50 states.

In the United States, BA.2 caused about 4% of COVID cases in the week ending February 19. And while BA.2 can be obtained after infection with the original omicron strain (also known as BA.1), research points to an earlier existence. Omicron infection appears to offer strong protection.

The Centers for Disease Control continues to recommend vaccination as the best way to fight COVID-19 and its variants. Vaccines are available from 5 years old and boosters from 12 years old.
