A goal from Ricardo Horta, from the penalty spot, in the 37th minute gave SC Braga the lead in the duel with Boavista, but the chess team reacted strongly at the start of the second half and ended up equalizing with a shot well adjusted by Yusupha (53′).
The tie was eventually accepted on the scoreboard, but the uncertainty even continued until referee Miguel Oliveira’s final whistle, with both teams looking for a goal that would potentially guarantee the three dots.
And in this particular aspect, SC Braga went close with a header, with Iuri Medeiros hitting the post in the 79th minute and Abel Ruiz already saw, in the last ten minutes, a shot with a goal seal stopped practically on the goal line of a checkered defender.
The match ended, however, with no further incidents on the scoreboard, scored an acceptable 1-1. With this result, Boavista adds to the 14th draw in the championship, while SC Braga ends the 25th day with the seventh draw on the table, the second consecutive after, in the last round, not having exceeded a draw at home against Saint Clara .
In the standings, Boavista now have 26 points and provisionally equal Santa Clara, while SC Braga now have 46 points, preserving fourth place after Gil Vicente’s draw against Estoril last night in the opening match of the round.
