Benfica defeats FC Porto and closes the distance with its championship rival – Roller Hockey

Benfica received and defeated FC Porto at the Pavilhão Fidelidade (4-1) in a match of the 20th round of the National Roller Hockey Championship. In a match marked by the superiority of the eagles and the fine performance of Pedro Henriques, the goalkeeper of the reds, it was even the dragons who opened the scoring for the Argentine Mena, seven minutes from the end of the first half. Seconds later, Nicolía fired hard and placed for the equaliser. Benfica closed the first half on a high note and even scored a header in a big collective move, by Gonçalo Pinto. In the second half, FC Porto tried to enter more pressing, but the eagles controlled the attacks of the dragons and ended up scoring Diogo Rafael’s third goal. Álvarez, already with the goal deserted and in the last seconds, condemned the final result.

The Luz club has thus shortened the distance in the ranking for the dragons, being now six points from the national roller hockey championship.
