It is via Twitter that Elon Musk shares his opinions. This time was no different, and the CEO of Tesla took to the platform to mention that Europe needs to rehash nuclear power.
The opinion comes in the wake of the war in Ukraine.
A few days ago, Elon Musk share who believed that the world should produce more oil and gas, given the countries' dependence on Russia. In the midst of war, Tesla's CEO has now said Europe should rethink nuclear power.
As stated in a tweet, Elon Musk believes Europe should restart its idle nuclear power plants, after saying the choice is obvious.
Hopefully it is now extremely clear that Europe should restart idle nuclear power plants and increase the power of existing ones.
This is *critical* for national and international security.

Elon Musk's tweet follows the attack by Russian troops against Europe's largest nuclear power plant, Zaporizhzhia, located in Ukraine. This Russian advance raised fears of possible radioactive leaks.
For those who (wrongly) think this is a radiation hazard, pick whatever you think is the worst location. I will travel there and eat locally grown food on TV.
I did this in Japan many years ago shortly after Fukushima. The risk of radiation is much, much lower than most people believe.

With this in mind, Elon Musk recalled the need for European countries to reduce their energy dependence on Russia. In fact, last year the CEO of Tesla declared that the plants, once secured, were a viable possibility for energy supply.
According to Interesting Engineering, since energy security is threatened, European countries would be better off reactivating their existing nuclear infrastructure, rather than trying to quickly switch to renewable energy. Indeed, to meet their needs, their systems still need a lot of development.
