Mac Studio: This could be Apple’s big surprise

This Tuesday, Apple takes the stage in Cupertino for the “Peek Performance” event. There’s no official information on what will be showcased, but there are several leaks to preview the event’s launches.

The third-generation iPhone SE and fifth-generation iPad Air appear to be guaranteed products. And in the latest sources have emerged pointing to the launch of a new product, Mac Studio.

Mac Studio will be a hybrid between Mac mini and Mac Pro

This one is described by sources as a hybrid between the Mac mini and the Mac Pro. And YouTuber Luke Miani has shared renders of what he claims is the design of what promises to be a powerful mid-range computer.

As you can see from the shared image, the source claims that the product will have a very similar design to the Mac mini. The big difference is in the height, which can be around 10 centimeters, compared to the 3.5 centimeters of the Mac mini.

These images show an LED on the front, the Apple logo on top, and cooling space on the back. The number of available ports doesn’t appear in these images, but the YouTuber claims they’ll be varied and more than on the Mac mini.

Unfortunately it is not specified which processor will equip this machine. The question remains whether it could be the popular M2 or something of another level equipped with the previously released M1 Pro or M1 Max.

We’ve seen previously hinted that this event could bring a new 13-inch MacBook Pro and a new Mac mini. However, the source estimates that no laptops will be presented this Tuesday.

We will only be certain when the products have been (or have not been) presented after 6:00 p.m. on March 8th.
