In a traditionally difficult trip from FC Porto to Paços de Ferreira, the league leaders passed the test with distinction, winning 4-2 and restoring the six-point advantage over Sporting who had won at home against Arouca yesterday.
FC Porto took the lead, through Pepê (17th), receiving an accurate pass from Wendell, Juan Delgado still made it 1-1 for the Beavers (31st), assisted by Antunes, but the host hopes to score points in this match it only lasted seven minutes, since, at 38′, Evanilson, served by Taremi, put the blues and whites in front of the mark, a result which was verified at half-time.
The dragons had a very strong entry in the second half, reached the third, by Evanilson (52nd) – a very nice movement initiated by Vitinha, with Taremi in the decisive pass – and, seven minutes later, in the fourth, by Taremi ( 59′), served this time by Evanilson, Vitinha resuming the movement.
The best Paços de Ferreira managed was to reduce to 2-4, by Nico Gaitán (66th), served by Antunes,
taking advantage of Wendell’s new defensive failure (he had already been beaten by Juan Delgado on the first pacense goal).
After this defeat, César Peixoto’s men continue with 27 points in the league.
