The Spanish press continues to report Barcelona’s interest in snapping up Alejandro Grimaldo and, according to ‘Sport’ daily, Benfica already have their eye on a name to replace the Spaniard, should he leave Luz in the next window. Steps. The publication writes that Adrián Marín, left-back who plays for Famalicão on loan from Granada, is the target set by the Eagles.
The left-hander, also a Spaniard, like Grimaldo, didn’t take long to convince the Minho emblem and in 2021/22 he has already played 24 official games, racking up two goals and two assists.
“Sport” points out that Famalicão has the right to exercise a purchase option of just over one million euros, an amount that could convince the northern club to move permanently for Marín (25), in with a view to a later sale – and for significantly higher values - to Benfica.
