Joan Laporta, Barcelona president, assumed it was everyone’s wish that Xavi Hernández would remain in charge of the Catalan colossus for many years to come.
“Xavi’s response was magnificent, because he is a coach who knows the club, who loves the club, who respects the decisions of the club and who has the personality not to be influenced. He knows very well how he wants the team is playing. I am very happy to have a coach like Xavi. I believe that he will be our coach for many years and that he will give everyone a lot of joy,” the manager said in statements at Barca TV.
Xavi Hernández has a contract with Barcelona until 2024.
