THE BALL – Tottenham crushed Everton (see goals) (England)

A great night for Tottenham, who gave the best possible response to FA Cup elimination at the feet of Middlesbrough. At home, Antonio Conte’s team received and beat Everton (André Gomes did not leave the bench), 5-0, in a match of the 28th final of the Premier League.

In the 14th minute, Michael Keane’s own goal put the spurs in front of the scorer and still in the first period the usual Son Heung-Min (17′) and Harry Kane (37′) gave volume to the result. In the second half, Tottenham rout, benefiting from a goal from Sergio Reguilón from the opening (46 ‘) and the second of the evening from Kane 10 minutes later. The striker has scored 176 Premier League goals, dethroning former France international Thierry Henry (175) to sixth in the competition’s top scorer chart, and is just one step away from equaling Frank Lampard .

The Londoners now have the same 45 points as West Ham in 5th place and continue to dream of qualifying for the Champions League, recalling that Antonio Conte’s side have two games left to play. Fourth is Arsenal, who have 45 points and three games to play. Everton (three games behind) are 17th and just a point ahead of Burnley, the first team in the relegation places.
