Olhar Espacial talks about the impacts of the Russian invasion of Ukraine

This Friday (11), the Spatial gaze will address the most prominent topic in the global media in recent days: Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. The consequences will be discussed. geopolitical conflict in scientific collaborative relations and space activities with Russian participation.

The program will address the impacts already announced, such as the series of economic sanctions applied by member countries of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO), and the effects that may still occur, mainly with regard to International Space Station (ISS)built and maintained by a 15-nation consortium of which the United States and Russia are the largest members.

He was a researcher in the history of space exploration for 40 years, focusing on the historiography of spaceflight, as well as a member of the British Interplanetary Society since 1994, author of several books on astronomy and editor of Canal space mandedicated to making known the history of space vehicles under technical and historical aspects.
