Araraquara opens rehydration center for suspected dengue cases

The municipal health service opens next Monday (14) the dengue rehydration center, for the care of suspected cases of dengue fever.

The Rehydration Center will work in a wing of the Field Hospital which, since January 10, has also housed the Covid-19 Screening Reference Center. The service will be carried out from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., every day, including weekends and holidays.

According to the Municipal Secretary of Health, Eliana Honain, with the structure that already exists at the Field Hospital, it will also be possible to attend people with symptoms of dengue fever, for consultation and examination, adults and children, in a separate wing.

“Just as the Covid Screening Center is already operating on site, in full efficiency, we will also offer the medical service targeting dengue fever in one of the wings of the hospital”, he reinforces.

She also points out that the field work to fight the disease is already intensifying and, once again, calls on the population to help her in the fight against the Aedes aegypti mosquito.

Officers work in badges, blue caps and blue vests with the town hall coat of arms and the SUS symbol. All professionals visiting homes also wear face masks to prevent the transmission of Covid-19.
