Manchester United manager Ralf Rangnick has said Cristiano Ronaldo and Edinson Cavani – who missed the derby against Manchester City – should be available for Saturday’s game against Tottenham at Old Trafford.
Ronaldo is out with a hip injury, while Cavani has been out for a month.
It was reported that Ronaldo flew to Portugal in the derby last Sunday, but Rangnick didn’t mention it.
“It makes no sense to look at what has happened in the last six or seven days, what is important is what will happen tomorrow,” he said.
“I did not ask him if he was satisfied in Manchester or at the club. For me, the important thing is that he is available and that he has resumed training,” he said. .
“Cristiano started training again yesterday. Trained the whole session and I hope he trains today [à tarde] also. I think it will be available tomorrow. The important thing is that he and Edi are back in training and available for the game.”
Luke Shaw is still unavailable due to Covid-19.
