The Portuguese João Sousa lost against the Spaniard Pedro Martínez and said goodbye to the American Indian Wells tournament, in the United States.
João Sousa, who is the highest ranked Portuguese tennis player in the ATP ranking (85th) and who reached the main table as the lucky loser, lost in straight sets by partials of 6-4 and 7-5 against the Spaniard who occupies the 49th position in the world hierarchy.
