FC Porto are now defending their 53 league matches unbeaten, looking to return to home triumphs against Tondela, following the draw against Gil Vicente and loss to Lyon.
But there is one aspect that is a bit out of the usual scheme of Sérgio Conceição’s team: the goals conceded, seven, in the last five matches. The matrix does not please the coach, who left the field of Paços de Ferreira satisfied with the triumph obtained, but unhappy with the two goals scored by the beavers. A streak that started with Lazio (2-2) and lasted in duels against Gil Vicente (1-1), Sporting (2-1), P. Ferreira (4-2) and ended with Lyon’s goal (0-1), scored by the Brazilian Lucas Paquetá.
This imbalance was offset by the immense productivity of the offense. FC Porto have scored in all matches played in this edition of the League and in recent matches against Tondela they have averaged at least two goals.
