Botafogo formalized this Tuesday the hiring of Renzo Saravia, a former FC Porto who signed a contract valid for one season with tacit renewal for another year with the Rio de Janeiro club.
Saravia, 28, who recently severed his ties with FC Porto, was the option found by Botafogo leaders after failing to negotiate with Benfica to hire Gilberto.
This is, after Philipe Sampaio and Lucas Piazon, the third signing of Botafogo after the sale of the club to John Textor, an American businessman also interested in investing in Benfica.
