Reigning European champions, Chelsea are in the quarter-finals of the Champions League after another victory against Lille, this time by 2-1 in France after the 2-0 in London.
Without Renato Sanches, injured, the other three Portuguese from Lille, José Fonte, Tiago Djaló and Xeka, were starters and it was even the latter who was in the offer that led to the goal of the French champion, the penalty of Yilmaz punishing hand/arm on the ball from Jorginho in an offer with shirt 8. However, 10 minutes later, at 45+3, Pulisic, after a superb pass from Jorginho, drew the game. In the second half, Yilmaz and Xeka, both headers, came close to scoring, but it was Chelsea who celebrated, Azpilicueta’s goal after a cross from Mason Mount. Until the end, the Londoners were closer to the third goal than Lille to the draw.
