THE BALL – Benfica loses in Braga after 16 games without defeat (Roller Hockey)

Benfica lost to Braga tonight in a delayed match of the 17th round of the National Division I, by 1-3, after a series of 16 games without defeat, including 12 for the championship. Faced with this defeat, the fifth in the competition, Benfica fell to 4th place, with 43 points. HC Braga is 8th and has 29.

Vítor Hugo and Gonçalo Meira gave HC Braga the lead at half-time, reflecting the hosts’ dominance. In the second half, Pablo Álvarez reduced in favor of the visitor and Pedro Mendes converted the penalty to fix the result in the last shot of the match.

At home, HC Braga, coached by Tó Neves, has already won FC Porto (3-2) and drawn with Sporting (4-4).
