Novo Banco (NB) sold an engineless jet aircraft. Along with the Hawker 900 model, the aircraft was owned by United Jet Services (UJS), an SIL Group company, and passed into the possession of NB because the debtor failed to pay the debt. NB discovered that the aircraft had no engine after performing lease agreements for four UJS aircraft, all inherited from BES, due to non-payment of a total debt of around 31 million euros.
