Let’s go to the circus with Circus Electrique

Zen Studios and publisher Saber Interactive recently revealed the release date for Circus Electrique, a turn-based tactical RPG.

The game, which features the circus as its main theme, might just be an interesting surprise for fans of games with more tactical sophistication.

Zen Studios, based in Budapest, Hungary, is working on its next work: Circus Electrique.

It's a turn-based tactical RPG with a strong emphasis on storytelling, set in an alternate version of Victorian London.

Recently, Zen Studios and Saber Interactive (publisher) revealed the game's release date of September 6 this year and that the game will be released on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC. (via Steam and Epic Games Store).

The story of Circus Electrique begins when a mysterious event, called "The Maddening", takes place in London. Following this inexplicable event, the people of London turn into violent murderers turning the city into a bloodbath.

Only the versatile and courageous elements of the circus can end the carnage. Elements that include fire blowers, clowns, escape specialists and other circus elements. There will be around 15 different types of circus elements available to us.

It goes without saying that each of these categories will present their own abilities, as well as their strengths and weaknesses, and it is up to the player to interpret their use during the action. In Circus Electrique, there will be no soldiers or warriors...it will be the elements of the circus that will save the day.

The game will also have a management aspect in which the player will have to manage the circus and its elements, thus valuing the "army" at his disposal. You will be able to recruit new talents for the circus and create new skills or performances to use.

The objective is simple: protect the City of London at all costs. But beware. Despite an ongoing war, the circus does not stop and the exhibitions continue...

Through 6 districts of Victorian London, the player will encounter various adversaries along the way, influenced by the local inhabitants and professions of the time.

There will also be an Electric Devotion in Circus system that will influence every circus performer, both in fights and in circus displays.

Circus Electrique will be released on September 6 this year, on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and PC (via Steam and Epic Games Store).
