Sony Playstation continues in its demand to offer the best gaming conditions to its fans and players, and in this sense, during the opening of Gamescom 2022, it made an announcement concerning a new controller for the Playstation 5: the DualSense Edge.

The DualSense Edge is the first high performance and highly customizable controller developed by Sony Interactive Entertainment. This controller was designed to give gamers an advantage in gameplay through the ability to create custom controls, allowing them to shape their use, depending on the style and type of game.

This new wireless controller for Playstation 5 will allow you to create a completely personalized experience thanks to the various hardware and software customization options, such as those mentioned below:

Extremely Customizable Controls: Gamers will be able to tailor the DualSense Edge to their tastes by remapping or disabling certain buttons and adjusting joystick sensitivity and dead zones (how far you need to move an analog stick for the game to recognize it) to refine- set the goal. Additionally, each trigger can be adjusted with various movement distance and deadzone options to suit each player's preference. For example, players will be able, with the new controller, to manually reduce the trigger movement distance for faster entry in competitive FPS games or reduce the dead zone to control more precisely for more precise controls in racing games;
Ability to save multiple profiles: Once players have configured the control settings according to their preferences, they will be able to save them into unique profiles and change them at any time. With this command, players will always have the commands they want for their games available, whether it's finishing off the Norse gods in God of War Ragnarök or your rivals in an online battle royale;
Integrated User Interface: The dedicated Fn button allows gamers to adjust their settings without affecting their attention to the game. They will be able to switch between pre-determined controller profiles, adjust game and chat volume, and access the profile settings menu of the controller to create and experiment with new iterations of controls during gameplay;
Customizable Joystick Covers and Rear Buttons: The three customizable joystick covers (standard, high dome, and low dome) will help gamers stay comfortable in-game while maintaining firmness and stability. In addition to the joystick covers and rear button assemblies, this controller also includes a USB Type-C cable, which uses a connector to attach it to the controller so it doesn't disconnect at the most inopportune moment. The included carrying case, which keeps the controller and its components neatly organized, allows gamers to charge the controller via USB connection while it's in storage.
